Honeycomb ceramics is one kind of industrial porous ceramics, many passable parallel channels are ramified over its inside. By the same token, honeycomb ceramics as carrier are generally utilized in chemical and mining industry for purifying noxious gas.

The heat storage burners in metallurgical industry are recommended strongly fitted with honeycomb ceramics as heat storage body, by the advantage of large specific surface area, small heat resistance, good thermal conductivity, excellent thermal shock resistance, realize quickly exchanging heat, reducing energy in the strict sense. In addition, honeycomb ceramics have significant use in filtering molten metal of special steel.

In the field of mass transfer and separation in chemical and petroleum industry, the honeycomb ceramics structured packing is more efficient than the corrugated packing in improving uniform distribution of liquid, improving separation efficiency, solving amplifying effect, reducing resistance of packing stages and improving production efficiency etc.
